BaptismJan Coutsie was baptized on 13 November 1707 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town). The baptism was witnessed by Margaretha Jans van de Caep and Johannes Pfeiffer. This witness has not been positively identified but Johannes Pfeiffer is(are) potentially the correct individual(s.)3,2 
Marriage*He married Abigael Appel, daughter of Ferdinandùs Appel and Levina Cloete, on 7 October 1731 Nederduitsche Gereformeede Kerk, Stellenbosch, Cabo de Goede Hoop.4
