Property TransactionsIn 1714 following the death of Simon van der Stel, and after Witteboomen reverted to its former separate state, and it was purchased by Jan Gerritz: Stoos.5
In 1716 a portion of Witteboomen was sold by Jan Gerritz: Stoos to Johannes Franke, who names it Frankengift.6
In 1724 Jan Gerritz: Stoos sold the property Witteboomen to Jan Hendrik van Helsdingen, subsequently, it changes hands as follows:

Aan Jan Guilliam word ook die plaats Witte Boomen bemaak op voorwaarde dat hy 6000 "Caabse guldens" in die boedel inbetaal. Indien dit nie gebeur nie, moet die plaas op 'n openbare veiling verkoop word."

Original U-shaped homestead ravaged by fire & altered / renovated & one wing given 2nd storey & woodwork replaced; house is difficult to date but thickness of walls & what is still visible of original ground floor plan suggest not later than 1824; house probably built by elder Van Helsdingen, possibly even Stoots; present front facade was originally one of side wings.7
