Baptisms - WitnessJohanna Constantia Elsevier and Samuel Elsevier witnessed the baptism of Samuel Weinoch on 10 June 1703 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town).3

    Gebore c1685. Sy was d/v Samuel Elsevier (eertydse sekunde aan die Kaap) en Anna Maria Six de Chantelier, sy eerste vrou. Johanna is met Ds Henricus Beck getroud.. Hereinafter cited as Palmkronieke I Baptisms.

Henricus Beck was die seun van Stephanus Beck en Aletta van Ophuizen en is 1669 in Arnhem gebore. Nadat hy te Groningen en Leiden in die teologie gestudeer het, volg hy ds. Pierre Simond in 1702 as predikant van Drakenstein op. In 1704 word hy predikant van Stellenbosch, en in 1726 van die Kaapse gemeente. In 1731 tree hy uit die bediening. Hy is op 13.2.1707 op Stellenbosch deur ds. Petrus Kalden met Johanna Constantia Elsevier in die eg verbind. Ds. Beck is in Junie 1755 oorlede."
