Slave Birth - Company OwnedJohannis van de Caep was born in bondage before 3 February 1692 and was owned by the VOC (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie), Slave Lodge, de Caep de Goede Hoop, Johannis van de Caep.1
BaptismJohannis van de Caep was baptized on 3 February 1692 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), de Caep de Goede Hoop. The baptism was witnessed by H. Capt Willem Padt and Andrijs de Man.1
