Hester Keevy told me that he was very short, about four foot six inches, and wore children's shoes. A photograph of him beside a daisyback chair confirms what she said. She added that he farmed on the farm Draaihoek, where he lived with his wife and her brother and his sister, who, the four of them, made two married couples. The second Couple were Casparus Johannes Lotter and Anna Maria Francina Greeff. I do not know whether they had separate houses, rooms, etc.
