Scipio was from Colombo and was perhaps born there in 1670/71. He was said to be 20 or 21 years old in 1691.¹

Slave Emancipations

On 24 May 1691 Scipio van Colombo was emancipated by Hermanus Specht, on condition that if Specht or his wife returned to the east, Scipio would accompany them.²
