He married Anna Elisabeth Schenk, daughter of Arend Schenk and Johanna Abrahamsz, on 18 August 1743 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, Drakenstein, de Caep de Goede Hoop. The marriage was performed by Ds. Salomon van Echten.^2,1
