BirthOrigin*Harmens was from Madagascar and perhaps born there between 1665 and 1666. He was said to be between 20 and 21 years old in 1686.1

Böeseken se Addendum van Kaapse slawe-verkoopstransaksies: Foute en regstellings", Kronos (Foute en regstellings) 9 (1984): Op dieselfde dag, volgens die addendum, verkoop Deeron ook twee ander slawe, nl. Pieter en Paul van Madagaskar. Böeseken rapporteur hulle ouderdomme as “respektiewelik” 20 en 22 jaar oud.
