Slave TransactionsOn 2 June 1689 Coridon van Nagapatnam and Jan van Macassar were sold from the estate of Marie Hugo, widow of Gerrit Blankelaar, by the skipper of the Oostersonburg Adriaan Witboom, who had been granted power of attorney for this purpose by Samuel Hoorn secretary of the Heemraden in Batavia. They were sold for Rds. 40 each to Guillaume Heems, on condition they would not be permitted to return to Batavia.2
