BirthOrigin*Christoffel was from Trancquebar and was perhaps born there circa 1677. He was said to be 20 years old in 1697.1 
Names in the record, in publications, etc.30 November 1697, the name of Christoffel was written in the record as Christoffel van Malabar.2
Slave TransactionsOn 6 January 1697 Aran van Trancquebare and Christoffel van Trancquebare were sold by Jan Pietersz: van Vleugel to Jan Cotse, for Rds. 80 each.3
On 30 November 1697 Christoffel van Trancquebare was sold by Jan Kotze to Pierre Simond, for Rds. 84. I have assumed this to be the same individual purchased as Christoffel van Trancquebare 10 months earlier.2
