Calicara was perhaps from Pondicherry and was perhaps born there circa 1681. He was said to be 20 years old in 1697.¹

On 21 June 1697 Calicara van Poulechere was sold by Jacob Cuijl to Hendrick Bouman, for Rds. 20.²
