Birth*Adam Baldridge was born circa 1665.2
 
Occupation* On 16 January 1698 Adam Baldridge was was said to be a sailor on the Swift, purportedly an English vessel, but in reality pirate ship. He was one of the founders of the priate colony on Madagascar after he fled Jamaica when he was charged with murder. He was apparently at the Cape after falling out with the Malagasy when they discovered he had been selling their people as slaves.2 
Names in the record, in publications, etc.16 January 1698, the name of Adam was written in the record as Adam Balldrydg.2
