BirthOrigin*Rijnhirt was from Madras and was perhaps born there circa 1686. He was said to be 14 years old in 1700.2

Slave TransactionsOn 9 April 1700 Rijnhirt van Madagascar was gifted by Heribert Dompselaar, to Ambrosius Sasse, he was given by somme van schenkagie en vereering.4,5

    “9.4.1700: Rijnhea from Madras (14), sold by Heribertus van Dompselaar to Ambrosius Zassee for an unspecified sum”.

    In die eerste transaksie is die slaaf se naam verkeerd. In die document staan geskryf: Rijnhirt van Madagaskar! Hy word ook nie verkoop nie, maar “by somme van schenkagie en vereering” bemaak. Dit verklaar waarom daar geen bedrag as koopsom vermeld is nie.. Hereinafter cited as "Foute en regstellings."
