BirthOrigin*Salomon was from Loosduinen and was perhaps born there circa 1640.1 
Vrijbriewen and Burgher StatusOn 5 May 1661, Salomon Elias Havingh was granted a vrijbrief or letter of freedom which released him from his contractual obligations to the VOC and accorded him the status of vrijburgher or free burgher. He was recorded as a sailor on the Dordrecht.2
