BirthOrigin*Christina is described variously in the record as from Canarij van de Cust, van Canarie, van Canarien, van de Coromandel, and van de kus Coramandel. She would have been born in any of these places, perhaps circa 1684. She is said to be 28 years old in 1712.2,1 
Baptisms - WitnessChristina van de Cust witnessed the baptism of Ambrosius van de Caep on 28 October 1696 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), de Caep de Goede Hoop. I have yet to satisfactorily identify this witness, who must have been baptised.3,4
Slaves owned by individualsOn 28 October 1696 Christina van de Cust was owned by Simon van der Stel.5
