BirthOrigin*Caciel was from Limbotta and was perhaps born there circa 1660. Texts of the period suggest that Limbotta was near Gorontalo on North Sulawesi.2,3 
Death*He died before 18 March 1706.4
 
NotesCaciel Moeda of Limbotta may have been a high-ranking member of the Ternaten royalty sent into political exile at the Cape by the VOC. He arrived in the same period as Katzilimuda van Macassar. He may also have had a familial connection to Jonker van Macassar.2,5
In a letter dated on 30 November 1705 the authorities in Batavia order the government at the Cape to release Katzilimuda van Macassar and Caciel Moeda of Limbotta from banishment and send them back to Batavia.5

In a letter dated on 18 March 1706 the government at the in Cape informed the authorites in Batavia they had identified Katzilimuda van Macassar and informed him that he was released from banishment and could return to Batavia. However, he asked to remain a while longer. Batavia was also informed that Caciel Moeda of Limbotta was long since deceased.6
