Birth*Samuel Hatting was born circa 1670, the date is estimated. Nothing more is known about this individual other than that he was on the Brandenburg which sailed for the Cape from Texel on 2 June 1695, during which time he witnessed the baptism of Sara Hendrina Brinck. He does not again appear in the record at the Cape, and it is assumed that he traveled to the East, also on the Brandenburg, when it sailed for Batavia on 1 July 1696. Additions and corrections are welcome.1

Baptisms - WitnessSamuel Hatting and Pn Hiesenga and Sara Torin witnessed the baptism of Sara Hendrina Brinck in October 1695 Brandenburg, VOC vessel of the fleet.2
