The rest were the "Oosterstein," "Barneveld," "Neptunus", "Beyeren" and "Ysselmonde," under the command of the Hon. Louis Gerlach, vice-admiral. They had lost three men and brought no sick. The officers reported that the Hon. Councillor Extraordinary of India and Governor of Ceylon, Cornelis Joan Simons, was returning home, and should he arrive here in time with the Ceylon squadron, he would return home with the whole fleet as admiral..
