BirthOrigin*Willem was from Amsterdam and was perhaps born there in 1674. The date is estimated - young men often entered service in the VOC as midshipmen in their early 20s.1 
Death*He died on 2 December 1731 Asia.1
 
Baptisms - WitnessJan Joris was baptized on 15 July 1712 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, Kat, he was baptised after death on the advice of the officials Willem Hylot and Willem van Putten because he had earnestly requested it. He had been a Mennist or Mennonite.2
