Birth*Hasdrubal First Nation was born circa 1680 in de Caep de Goede Hoop.2

Death*He died before 15 February 1714, when his brother Scipio Africanus was named as his heir.2

NotesOn 15 February 1714 Scipio Africanus was made a captain of the 'Hottentots' by Willem Adriaan van der Stel and was identifed as the brother and heir of Hasdrubal. A mere 60 years after the arrival of the first white settlers, the Khoe and San had been shunted off their lands and deprived of their inherent right to choose their own leaders or follow their own succession customs.2
