Birth*Samprina van Macassar was born circa 1640 in Macassar, Sulawesi, was from.1
 
(Exile) Arrival On 21 March 1681, Daim Mengale van Macassar arrived at Cape from Batavia on board the Huis te Zilverstein. He was among 11 Indonesian royal princes and nobility who, along with their families, wives, concubines, slaves and retinue, were sent into exile as ‘imprisoned criminals’ around this time. On the same vessel were Assang van Macassar, Boung van Macassar, Kierssi van Macassar, Samprina van Macassar, Chitra Wangsa van Macassar and Carrie Mangin Bura van Macassar.1
