Anthoin Nillam van Galle1
M, #19026, b. circa 1666
|BirthOrigin*||Anthoin was from Galle, Ceylon, and was perhaps born there circa 1666. The date is estimated. Changing Hands records he was van ’t Nalle, which I am pretty sure is a transcribal error and that he was in fact from Galle.1|
|(PoliticalPrisoner) ShipVoyage||Anthoin Nillam van Galle witnessed the New Tag of Coevorden on 20 January 1682 (Cape Town), de Caep de Goede Hoop.1|
|Misc*||He was included in a list of Maccassarese royalty — Lijst … de … Macasarschen Princen C.501 — sent from the Cape to the VOC in Batavia. His date of arrival and reason for his banishment were not recorded in Changing Hands on 5 September 1686.1|
