Death*He died on 27 January 1742 Cabo de Goede Hoop.5

  • Johanna Buys b. b 20 Aug 1719; This relationship is offered toward further discovery in the record. Some people have said the father of this child was Barnus/Barend Hinkel. I have not been able to find such a person in the record and have assumed him to be the same person as Barend Buys7

Names in the record, in publications, etc.20 August 1719, the name of Barend was written in the record as Barent Hinkel.
Baptisms - WitnessBarend Buys and Alida van den Berg witnessed the baptism of Geertruij Grobbelaar on 31 December 1724 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, Drakenstein, de Caep de Goede Hoop.6
