Crime and relatedBefore 13 December 1686 Iba van Timor was was brutally assaulted by her employer, Jacob Aartse Brouwer at his home Stellenbosch resulting in a large contusion on her left shoulder and upper arm, and a gaping wound on her right hand exposing the bone of the forefinger up to the wrist.7
Slave TransactionsOn 15 January 1683 Claes van Bengale was sold by Jacob Aartse Brouwer to Theunis de Visser, for Rds. 58.8
On 14 May 1683 Tidoor van Goa was sold by Leendert Jansz van Gijselen to Jacob Aartse Brouwer.9
On 11 July 1683 Claas was sold by Tobias Marquaert to Jacob Aartse Brouwer, for an unspecified amount.10
