Jacobus le Roux was baptized on 24 February 1709 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town). The baptism was witnessed by Durand Soullier and Marthe Petel.³

27 November 1729, the name of Jacobus was written in the record as Jacobùs le Roex.⁴

Baptisms - Witness

Jacobus le Roux and Anna le Roux witnessed the baptism of Katharina Elizabeth le Roux on 28 November 1728 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, Stellenbosch, de Caep de Goede Hoop. I have speculated that the witnesses to this baptism, Jacobus and Johanna Roe, are the older siblings of the subject.⁵

He and Maria le Roux witnessed the baptism of Dina Marija Uijs on 27 November 1729 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, Stellenbosch, de Caep de Goede Hoop.⁴
