BaptismGabriel van de Caep was baptized on 3 March 1711 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), de Caep de Goede Hoop. The baptism was witnessed by Katie van de Caep and Dirk Urbanus.2 
Slave BirthsBefore 3 March 1711, Gabriel van de Caep was born in bondage and was owned by Simon vander Stel de Caep de Goede Hoop.1
