Father-Putative*Johann Hartog b. bt 1663 - Jan 1664, d. b Dec 1722; Although many published and online genealogies suggest that Abraham Hartogh was Paulus' father, it is far more likely that Johann Hartog is the correct parent. Jannetje van Wijk slaved in the garden and probably also for Van der Stel at Vergelen, and Johann Hartog was said to have worked at Vergelen even though he was employed by the Company3,4
