Hendrick Cloeten was baptized on 9 December 1725 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, Stellenbosch, de Caep de Goede Hoop. The baptism was witnessed by Trijntie Pasman and Philip Morkel.¹

He married Hester Anna Lorenz, daughter of Pieter Lorenz and Katrijna vander Byl, on 3 June 1758.³

Property Transactions

In 1778 Hendrick Cloeten bought the property Groot Constantia from Johann Serrurier.⁴
In 1799 on the death of Hendrick Cloeten Groot Constantia became the property of Hendrik Cloeten, the younger.⁵
