BaptismsJan van de Caep was baptized on 28 May 1697 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, Stellenbosch, de Caep de Goede Hoop. The baptism was witnessed by Elsje Gildenhuisz and Johannes Jan-seun Swart.2
Slave BirthsBefore 28 May 1697, Jan van de Caep was born in bondage and was owned by Jacobùs van der Heiden de Caep de Goede Hoop.3
