BaptismAntonij van de Caep was baptized on 24 January 1677 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), de Caep de Goede Hoop. The baptism was potentially witnessed by Marytie Pietersz, Maria Hendriks, Jacob NN and Jacob NN; the witnesses have not been positively identified.1 
Slave BirthsBefore 24 January 1677, Antonij van de Caep was born in bondage and was owned by Gouverneur Johan Bax de Caep de Goede Hoop.1
