(Child) Departure After 28 September 1687,Tobias Marquaert and Catharina van den Bergh departed the Cape for Batavia after Tobias was said to have cruelly treated his slaves. They sailed on board one of several vessels destined for East which departed after he sold his slaves in late September. They were accompanied by Reijna Marquaert, Regina Marquaert, Catrina Marquaert, Abigael Marquaert and Tobias Marquaert.4,5 
Names in the record, in publications, etc.9 September 1708, the name of Abigael was written in the record as Abigael Marquart.3
