Slave EmancipationsOn 31 August 1702 Table Valley, de Caep de Goede Hoop, Marta Manuels was emancipated with her children Catharina Jacobs, Jacob van de Caep, Christiaen van de Caep, Johannes van de Caep and Willem Meyn by Grysella Mostaart apparently at the behest of their former owner Hester Weijers who had died two years earlier.8
