Jacobus Langeveld1

M, #13258, b. before 23 February 1710, d. 25 October 1807
Father-Disproved*Pieter Jacobsz: b. c 1685; Pieter Jacobsz only arrived at the Cape in 1714 and could therefor not have been the biological father of Jacobus. He may have assumed the name Langeveld (var.) given his mother's subsequent de facto relationship with Pieter Jacobsz. [My thanks to Gerhard Swart for bringing Pieter Jacobsz company records to my attention and enabling me to correct this information.]2
Mother-Putative*Cornelia van de Caep b. 27 Mar 1672; putative relationship offered with a view toward further discovery in the record. No other women identified thus far meet the chronological and other criteria to qualify as the mother2
