Alij was from Bouton and was perhaps born there]]He was said to be 25 or 26 in 1690 in 1664/65.¹

Names in the record, in publications, etc.

1 May 1690, the name of Alij was written in the record as Arie van Bouton, I have assumed this to be the same individual purchased by Rootstein from Joan Parvé in April 1690.²

Slave Transactions

On 13 April 1690 Jacob van Macassar and Alij van Bouton were sold by Admiral Joan Parvé to Jacob Matsen Rootsteen, for Rds. 70 each.^3,4
On 1 May 1690 Alij van Bouton was sold by Jacob Matsen Rootsteen to Wijmer Pasman, for Rds. 90.²
