BirthOrigin*Jannetje was from the Madagascar and was perhaps born there circa 1695. She was said to be 1 year old in 1696.1 
Slave TransactionsOn 9 February 1696 Mary van Madagascar and Jannetje van Madagascar were sold by Richard Glover to Jan Dircks de Beer, for Rds. 80. They were mother and daughter.2
On 11 February 1696 Mary van Madagascar and Jannetje van Madagascar were sold by Jan Dircksen de Beer to Catrina Backers, for Rds. 90.3
On 2 December 1697 Jannetje van Madagascar was sold by Catrina Backers to Christian Elers, for Rds. 30. In this transaction the toddler, said to be 4 years old, but in reality half that age, was separated from her mother, Mary van Madagascar.4
