When Theunis Dirksz van Schaliwijk died in 1717, he was the owner of a slave woman Mari or Marij who was mother to two children. No other slave children are recorded in his estate.2

Slave BirthsBefore 6 May 1708, Dirkje van de Caep was born in bondage and was owned by Theunis Dircksen van Schalckwyck de Caep de Goede Hoop.1
Slave TransactionsOn 13 April 1717 Marij NN and Dirkje van de Caep were perhaps mother and daughter who along with another sibling, were sold from the estate of Theunis Dircksen van Schalckwyck to Jürgen Pieterson van den Heever for Rds 104.2
