BaptismEmanuel van de Caep was baptized on 8 June 1710 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk (Cape Town), (Cape Town). The baptism was witnessed by Johanna Matthijs.2 
Slave BirthsBefore 8 June 1710, Emanuel van de Caep was born in bondage de Caep de Goede Hoop.1
Slaves owned by individualsOn 8 June 1710 Rosa van Bengale and Emanuel van de Caep were owned by Kaije Jesse Slotsboo. It is unclear whether Emanuel father, and Rosa's partner, Antonij Dosant was enslaved or a free person.1
