BirthOrigin*Anthonij was from Bengal and was perhaps born there circa 1690. The date is estimated and should be used as a guide only. Corrections welcome.2
(Slave) SlaveInventory Before 8 May 1724, most likely at the time of the decease of her husband, Jan Stevensz Botma de Jonge on a date unknown, Christina de Brùyn came to own the following slaves who were named in the inventory of her estate: Klaas van Angola, Cupido van Madagascar, Carel van Couthin, Aron van Mallabaar, Frans van de Cust, Anthonij van Bengalen, Biron van Mallabaar, Francis van de Caab, Susanna van Madagascar, Marcus van Madagascar, Mathijs van Mallebaar and Titus van Mallebaar.3
Slave TransactionsOn 6 June 1724 Anthonij van Bengalen was sold from the estate of Stijenten de Brùijn, to juffr:w Robbersz, whom I have yet to identify with any certainty. There are several candidates.4
