Marriage*He married Rachel Joubert, daughter of Pierre Jaubert and Elisabeth Richarde, on 30 October 1744 Tulbagh, de Caep de Goede Hoop. In "Pierre Jaubert and his family" Mrs. J.E. Malherbe offers 30 (sic) February 1744 as the date of marriage.4,2
