Names in the record, in publications, etc.Christina Stans was named as Christina Steents in South African Genealogies, 1 (A-C). It is worth noting that the first generations of the Bot(h)ma genealogy on p. 388 is a mess.4
22 February 1682, the name of Christina was written in the record as Stijntie Stants.
13 June 1688, the name of Christina was written in the record as Christina Bernardi Stans.
Baptisms - WitnessChristina Stans potentially witnessed the baptism of Sara Botma on 26 September 1683 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), de Caep de Goede Hoop, this witness has not been positively identified.11,4
She and Zacharia Wagenaer and Diederyck Putter witnessed the baptism of Jannetie Putter on 18 November 1685 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), de Caep de Goede Hoop.1

NotesThree women of this period Christina Stans, Christina de Brùyn and Christina Does were named interchangeably and frequently incorrectly in a variety of genealogical publications. I believe I have now assigned the correct women to the correct relationships and events, but corrections are always welcome.
On 14 June 1705 Christina Stans and Adriana Stans may have been related, perhaps even siblings.
