    "Ruyter, Willem; of Nimwegen; arrived in 1715 in the `Amasone' as sailor; served some time in the Hospital, and also on the galiot `Postlooper' as junior surgeon at f14. During the past 2 years he was a loan servant of the agriculturist, Hermanus van Brakel, successfully practising all that time as a surgeon.
