Geertruijt NN was born in bondage before 1 February 1693 and was owned by the VOC (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie), de Caep de Goede Hoop Geertruijt NN.¹

Geertruijt NN was baptized on 1 February 1693 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), de Caep de Goede Hoop. The baptism was witnessed by Andrijs de Man and H. Capt Willem Padt.¹
