BaptismScipio van Madagascar was baptized on 3 May 1711 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town). He was baptised among the free population.2 
Marriage De facto* Between 1701 and 1707 Scipio van Madagascar and Antonique van Coromandel were in a de facto relationship de Caep de Goede Hoop.3

Slave TransactionsOn 29 June 1687 Scipio van Madagascar was sold by Jan Baptist Groeneveld to Dominique de Chavonnes de Caep de Goede Hoop, for Rds. 30. There is a disconnect in how Böeseken and Shell recorded this transaction. Böeseken says the purchaser was Gerrit Jansz.1,7
On 30 August 1689 Scipio van Madagascar was sold by Dominique de Chavonnes to Abraham Hartogh de Caep de Goede Hoop, for Rds. 50.8,9,10
