Marriage*He married Maria van Brakel, daughter of Adriaan Willemsz van Brakel and Sara Roosendaal, on 21 February 1723 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), de Caep de Goede Hoop.1
 
Baptisms - WitnessJan Valk and Maria Losëe witnessed the baptism of Wilhelmina de Kock on 28 February 1723 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town).2
He and Isabeau le Long witnessed the baptism of Johannes Loùw on 25 August 1726 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, Stellenbosch, de Caep de Goede Hoop.3
Property TransactionsOn 28 June 1726 the 63 morgan farm Wolwedans tussen de Paardebergh en de Mosselbanksrivier was sold by Jan Valk to Willem Stolts. Stolts borrowed the money from Hendrik Swellengrebel and over the course of the rest of his life he repaid the full amount of Rds 666, with the last instalment of Rds 365 paid from his estate in 1750. Stolts lived on Wolwedans from 1726 to 1743, although he owned the property until his decease in 1750.4
