Father-Candidate*Corporael Gabriel Joosten b. c 1640; this candidate relationship is offered based on fact that Louwijs sister, Adriaantje, baptised in 1667 came to be known as Adriaantje Gabrielsz - suggesting her father was named Gabriel.1
Mother-Candidate*Catharina van Malabar b. c 1637; candidate relationship, perhaps further evidence of this relationship will surface as I add records.2

BaptismLouwijs van de Caep was baptized on 8 April 1663 de Caep de Goede Hoop. The baptism was witnessed by Corporael Denijs Otto, Corporael Gabriel Joosten and Dom:e Balthasar de Metre. The baptism was performed by Dom:e Balthasar de Metre.1
