Birth*Marie Rousse was born circa 1670.1
 
(Witness) Abjuration On 23 October 1685, at La Motte d'Aigues, Provence, France, following the revocation of the Edict of Nantes, Daniel Roux, Magdalene Jourdan, and their daughters Marie Rousse and Jeanne Rousse abjured their Protestant faith.2 
(Witness) Letter On 23 December 1687, in a letter to the Heeren Zeventienen, the Rotterdam Chamber advised that the following individuals had expressed an intention to sail to the Cape on the ship China. They were: Jean Mesnard, Marie Rousse, Louise Courbonne, Marie Anthonarde, Jeanne Mesnard, George Mesnard, Jacques Mesnard, Jean Mesnard, Philippe Meinard, André Mesnard, Jehane Marque, Jean Jourdan, Pierre Jourdan, Marie Jourdan, Jeanne Rousse, Marguerite Rousse, Pierre Malan, Elisabeth Richarde, Hercules Verdeau, Pierre la Grange, Pierre Jourdan de Cabriere, Paul Jourdan, André Pellanchon and Matthieu Fracassé.3
