Crime and relatedOn 20 July 1720 Adolph van Madagascar was strangled and scorched for arson. He was punished with 6 others who were hanged for desertion, theft, & cattle theft, including one who had his right hand severed. At the time he was owned by Marguerite-Thérèse de Savoye.35
